Kitchen extension basic materials cost

We are getting quotes for our small kitchen extension (3m x 3m), and a builder has come in with labour only quote which is about a third cheaper than another all inclusive quote. Just wondering how much the basic building materials will cost for such a project if anyone's got experience pls? Hardware (doors, windows, floors, tiles, kitchen itself) not included. Thanks!

It is sensible to estimate half labour costs and half materials.

Thanks, though I think those would include the hardware costs? Otherwise hard to imagine just basic materials costing 50k+

I assume by hardware you mean the kitchen units etc? Did you specify that to be included in the other quotes or not?

I specified what not to be included such as kitchen itself and floors but they included doors and windows. So the difference between those two quotes would be the basic materials plus one UPVC French door and one UPVC window

Basic materials are really expensive. The half and half thing I said was based on fitting a bathroom and the advice we were given about that so I guess without including the kitchen, it will be cheaper but I wouldn't thing any cheaper than the other quotes you have which include the materials. Or not much anyway.
