Primary schools - Norwich - help us unwobble

Hello. Looking for opinions to help with our move to Norwich, please!

We're aiming to move as soon as possible and have two primary children.

We've fallen in love with a house in Eaton so we're keen to hear opinions on the primary school. We were surprised to see that the parent feedback on Ofsted was less than glowing and now we're at sixes and sevens. Any info on SEND provision is particularly welcome.

We're also keen to hear about the Lionwood Schools. I know the infant school is outstanding.

Also, if anyone else has moved with a child already in primary school, is it the case that you're less likely to get into your school of choice and more likely to be placed in the catchment area school? I can't quite work out the process.

In what way is the Ofsted poor? We went from RI to the cusp of Outstanding and for the children not one thing had changed, we'd just produced reams and reams of paperwork. Exactly the same members of staff. It really brought home to me how useless the inspection system is. I'd go on results and local reputation.

Ah sorry for the confusion. I didn't mean the report was poor. I read it and it seemed very positive, and indeed the school is rated good! The bit I'm talking about is parent feedback, collated via Ofsted. The scores on there don't seem to reflect the positive report. I'll try to fund a link.

So I take it your kids are at the school and you're a fan?

Editing to add that I'm absolutely trying to gather local feedback, but via Mumsnet because we don't know anyone.

Apologies, you did say that - must have missed it.

No worries! My mum was a primary school teacher so I know exactly how unforgiving the OFSTED process can be, and I always take with a pinch of salt. Definitely after hearing from parents too.
