Properties that Lanquish on the Market

I am curious as to whether Estate Agents pull their clients aside and advise why their properties are not getting offers after X months under the market. I viewed a property today which from what I can gather has been on the market since at least Summer 2024 from Google Maps images. The main structure of the property was fine but every room needed work. The kitchen was a disaster area, there were various pornagraphic art works displayed (target for this house would be a family house). The bathrooms were just so horrible and there was wafting canabis smell in the house. I assume that the EA thinks their client will go else where at the end of the contract. Client wanted Offer in excess - they are just wasting everyone time including their own. As my EA said if the property needs work this should be reflected in the price.

There's a property near me that's been for sale for months. Lovely house in a beautiful village... Price reasonable compared to others there... I was tempted to take a look.
However, studying its position, I reckon it's prone to flooding. So perhaps it's not always price or appearance?
