Moving to a new area in the South East

Thinking of moving to a new area in the South East, from Epsom Downs to anywhere between Dorking, Cranleigh, Horsham and beyond. The reason for moving - closer to DH work, cheaper housing, slower pace of life, lovely countryside, friendlier locals.

However, DH got very sick lately with cancer, had a few trips to A&E, under consultants in Epsom and St George's hospitals, now referred to Marsden cancer centre, which is only 10 minutes away from home.

Are we taking a big risk moving away from the locally accessible healthcare? What is it like in those new areas? Any good hospitals, A&E, cancer centres?
We are in our mid 60-s, and the health is not getting any better.

The areas you mention are nice however healthcare in West Sussex is appalling. It is ranked as the worst in the country.
