Small living room, can't increase the size, blue line is where woodburner will go, red line is large picture window with stunning view, so don't want to block it and still want to see the view.

Do I put the TV on the orange or green wall, we have an armchair & two seater settee, to accommodate?

I would put the TV on the green wall to avoid reflection from the window, 2 seater by orange wall as good vantage point of tv/scenic view/log burner, arm chair could go either side of window depending on whether you prefer to be closer to TV or log burner

My living room is very similar. My TV is next to the log burner on a corner TV unit. Sofa facing the window and second sofa opposite the log burner.

That's interesting, I was told the TV has to be at least 1m away from the fire. Your living room may be bigger than mine, I couldn't get 2 sofas in...

Do you really have to have the log burner?

Depends on the burner, mine is about 70cm at the sides I think. The instructions (we had it installed when we moved in, replacing an open fire) gave clearances in each direction.
The sofa opposite the window is a 3 seater, the one opposite the fire is a small 2 seater as that's the wall the door is on so there's less space.

Is the log burner set back into a fireplace? If so the walls of that should give enough insulation for the TV but if it’s freestanding then yes need some space between it and the tv.

I have my TV in the corner by my log burner and it is definitely less than 1m away. No one commented on it when i had the log burner installed and i have had it swept and serviced several times.

It's just that you have TV, log burner and picture window. Three focal points in one room! No wonder that you are struggling with placement.Smile
Otter's layout sounds best. TV between logburner and picture window; sofa against the orange wall, looking at the view; armchair facing the logburner.

I'd do this or you could put the armchair the other side of the doorway by the window
