where to move to in London with kids that's not crazy expensive?

Is it possible at all in London to find a 2 bedroom flat for £1300/£1400 a month?
If so, what areas should we be looking at with two young children?

We used to live in East London and loved it, but where we lived became too pricey for us.

Thank you so much

Unfortunately I don’t think you can find a 2 bedroom flat for that price in London. I live in zone 4 and pay £1500 for a one bedroom flat. The prices are ridiculously expensive!

Is this a joke?

Are you a key worker? Access to low rent property? Otherwise
Try outer London eg www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/158728916?utm_campaign=property-details&utm_content=lettings&utm_medium=sharing&utm_source=copytoclipboard#/&channel=RES_LET

I looked on Rightmove and saw a few properties in Lewisham for £1,500 a month.

I think you might find something in the less desirable parts of zone 5/6, but even there it's a stretch. Anywhere cheap enough is unlikely to be somewhere you'd want to live tbh, especially with two kids. I'd look further out.

I pay £1400 a month in zone 6, but just into Surrey. 30 mins into London Victoria from Upper Warlingham station.
