Replacement kitchen sink

I need a new kitchen sink but the old one is quite an odd size. If I buy one slightly larger than the original, can a plumber cut a larger hole in the worktop to fit it in or would that be quite difficult?

Any advice gratefully received.

Yeah they can cut a bigger hole straight forward with laminate worktop

if anything like granite or composite it can still be done but it would be a specialist and also cost

Fantastic, thank you.

The only thing is that it might be smaller than standard for a reason like the cupboards below don't have enough space for a bigger sink, so just check the space under the sink for weird bits of wood and pipes before you buy a bigger sink.
