Cenergist .. Letter from UU

I've had a letter from UU and Cenergist.

Cenergist is a control flow meter - whatever that is.
I don't want anything doing to the flow as it used to be better before the put new pipes in and turned the water pressure down.

In the letter it tells me apparently my house uses more water than average for the number of people living there.

How do they know that?

  1. I don't have a water meter
  2. How do they know how many people live in my house

I'm ringing them up to ask - because I'm really peeved at UU as the bill is now over £1000 a year.

They also mention tenant liaison officers in the letter.

It also says they'll check and repair any leaks such as leaky showers and taps .. and the visit will take no longer than 20 minutes.

Control Flow Meter Save and Mains Save products regulate the flow of water coming into the home. They smooth out the fluctuations in flow caused by pressure fluctuations in the water system. They 'block' any excess water coming into the home, reducing water wastage, and (if you are on a water meter) reducing your water bill. Even if you don't have a water meter, Control Flow can still save you money as a study has shown that regulating the flow of water through your boiler makes it work more efficiently.

Now tell me that's not been written by a bunch of cheeky monkeys.

UU say it's nothing to do with UU and there wasn't a manager to speak to about it today so one is ringing me tomorrow.
Phone person said: the information they're using is publicly available and it's nothing to do with them. She couldn't explain why their logo was on it. She suggested I ring them - and I said I had rung the number on the letter which was UU!
She looked on google and found they only had an email address on their website.

She said Cenergist sent a letter to every customer. Which I assume she knows as it's been done with UU.

As you can tell I have absolutely nothing better to do today!
