Which kitchen carcass colour?

Choice of carcass colours - white, oak, amphracite. Which would you choose for us?

We've chosen smoke cabinets - a short of dusty mid/dark grey/bordering on blue. Worktops will probably a stone pattern and light/mid flooring - probably wood effect. Walls will be a lighter colour, not sure what.

Have always had white, so that's the obvious choice, but I'm thinking temporary/permanent marks will be hidden for longer long-term. I like the amphracite over the oak, but my doubt is it's a north facing kitchen so might look quite dark inside. DH thinks white.

I went with oak for my anthracite doors, based on looking at them on the mock-up with the designer. I also have a north facing kitchen and the oak warms it up.
In truth it’s only visible with the glass fronted cabinets as everything else is covered by anthracite - so you only see the oak when you open the doors.

Thanks for your reply. I'm terrible at over thinking things, but it's an expensive decision and our 15 year old kitchen looks shabby inside the carcasses. Probably doesn't help we inherited a filthy four year old kitchen when we bought and even in time it's been hard to get rid of some marks (whereas we left an emaculate four year old kitchen, the same brand).

You are right though, it is an expensive decision. I lived with the one we moved into, for about 12 years . I feel so much more inspired to cook now it feels like mine. 😄

Dark grey interiors are dim and hard to see things in. I would go for oak if traditional, white if modern style.

We went for oak with dove grey units. Just thought the oak went well.
