Leaks

Hi

I'm nearing the end of an extremely painful extension to ground floor footprint.

Identified when the ceiling was down was a leak coming from upstairs shower. This was fixed by the builders. It wasn't a part of the scope and it was just a bit of sealant. It would be leaking straight into the new kitchen ceiling so kind of necessary for the job complete.

A leak that's appeared today in the ceiling I'm confident because of location has nothing to do with the shower and someone's coming to look. There was extensive other plumbing and it's underneath that.

However, am I unreasonable to expect if they've told me they've fixed the shower leak, they actually HAVE? It was kind of suggested to me earlier that I should almost expect leaks until I'd sorted the sealant out upstairs. Which they did already. So basically "we fixed the leak but actually we might not have".

There wasn't any double checking of leaks resolved in eagerness to get plasterboard up. I did ask at the time but told all fine and they cracked on.

I wouldn't be USING the upstairs shower if I thought there was a risk of any leaks.

Thank you for reading!
