Conveyancing costs?

Have you had conveyancing done recently?

Selling currently, can't quite fathom how that for an average pretty cheap property it's £2k? Had 3 quotes too.

Yep that's what we paid, and got quoted around that mark

Yes, that seems fair to me. Don't skimp on the conveyancing. A good solicitor is well worth the money. We had someone in our chain who tried to cut costs and it massively backfired. They ended up having to change solicitor. More important than cost is ensuring they are suitable for the property you want to sell or buy. A local solicitor who knows the area and is used to dealing with the type of property you are selling / buying is ideal.
