I've got a vision for my DS's bedroom/nursery, a darker green (but not specifically a 'dark green') on the bottom half of the walls with a scalloped detail as the border, this darker colour will also go on the woodwork/windowsill etc, then a lighter green above it which will be drenched on to the ceiling as well. I then have some lovely artwork that has lots of yellows, greens, oranges in which will go into wooden frames.
I've tried quite a few out and my hallway looks ridiculous with the amount of samples I've painted on... there's some I really like, but none that I feel 'go together', it's like the 2 colours don't seem to go in harmony and don't actually match each other enough to be on the wall together.
Some of the colours I've tried:
F&B - Lichen - like this a lot, Olive - felt like it was a bit too dark for a nursery but would be brave with it if I found a perfect partner, Vert de Terre - loved, Bone - too grey, Stone White - liked it initially but now looks a bit yellow, Terron - same bracket as the Olive,a bit dark but nothing worked with it?
Little Greene Paints - Sage Green - thought I'd love, looks quite dark on the wall though. Boringdon Green - loved it when I painted it then dried a little blue...
Please can anyone share some green combos that work well together?
