I am changing the setting on some downlights, and I have lost 2 of these things. I cannot figure out how to slide the lights out without these things coming off and one has got lost in the ceiling hole and the other has fallen into the ether
They slide onto the wire snappy things at the side of the spot lights. Can I put the lights back without them? I’ve tried googling but can’t find the answer, though I can see some spot lights come without them. I’m not sure if they provide some sort of insulation or if they are just supposed to make pulling the lights out easier (they don’t). These lights are fire rated if that makes a difference
