Basement/high water table/river

Hello

I've seen a house with a basement for sale. I happen to know the neighbours who said that they occaisionally get water in the basement, this is when the river is high. (River close but the water is coming from the water table as the river is i think too far to flood that way)

Would you still consider the house?

Not for a moment. I have had a flooded cellar (burst pipe). Never again.
