We live in Northern Ireland and are planning to extend and renovate (double in size) my grannies 1960s bungalow. New windows, roof, rewire, re plumb etc etc. Planning permission passed, now plans are in building control, then we'll go to tender. I've heard QS are worth their weight on gold. Just wondering what they'll do, is now a good time to approach one. Im panicking my £225000 will not be near enough with prices rises. We are planning to hire a contractor for a builders finish just. Any advice, experience of current prices will be much appreciated.
