We moved into a 1930s semi back in August, untouched decor-wise since at least the 70s.

This last week we stripped about 4 layers of wallpaper from the hall/stairs/landing.

Around a window on the landing I saw these green patches, which I assumed were some form of mould.

I then saw more downstairs, around one of the doorframes and on closer inspection they look like stencilled flowers! This is the original 1935 bare plaster, obviously it may have been painted first, but does that mean these are original/done by the original owners?

We bought the house from the second owners, who moved in during the 70s, they put all the wallpaper up, so it must have been before their time.

Does anyone know how I would go about finding matching stencils at all?

Contact StencilBarn on Etsy, see if they will make one for you. It’s a lovely pattern.

If you are reasonably tech savvy, you could take a digital photo, enhance the image, manipulate it to have something to trace, but that sounds like a lot off faff.
