Can anyone on here from leeds housing please explain to me why a 3 bedroom house was allocated to someone in band B who had only registered with the council 4 months prior. I was told only people in band A with a queue position in the top 3 get houses.
I look on the results page every week to see who get the houses.
Over 800 people bid for this house.so over 800 people are going to be very angry with this result.
I did not bid for the house as it out of my area. But one in my area went to someone who had only been registered 4 weeks priorty band given 5 days prior to letting cycle.
All bidding result are as clear as day on the housing website.
I don't understand this at all.
I have been waiting 18 months. Been sleeping on a sofa in a damp mouldy room for 2 years. Overcrowded and have medical recommendation to be rehoused for a house with downstairs toilet and 3 bedrooms and wet shower room. So my options do not come up often. My queue position jumps constantly from position 4 up to over 250. Depending on area.

No one here can tell you the specific circumstances of any successful applicant on the housing register. You can however raise your banding with the Council if you think you should have higher priority. The CAB can advise how you can go about that.
