AGA suppliers in south east - recommendations please

Hi mumsnetters,

We are currently in the early stages of a kitchen renovation having inherited a very dated kitchen when we moved 5 years ago. We are planning to invest in an AGA (refurb if available) as we've used one before and loved it. Until recently the always-on feature wouldn't have made sense but we'd now make use of it and we hope this is our forever home.

I'd come across the supplier Blake & Bull in a google so was thinking they might be a potential option for a supplier. Unfortunately I went on their website today to discover they've just gone bust!

Does anyone have any recommendations for good AGA suppliers in the south east who give excellent customer service?

Thanks very much in advance for any replies!

I've previously bought things from Blake and Bull so that is a shock!

Are you wanting gas, electric or solid fuel? Can you narrow down the county?
The aga website has a list of refurbished ones, but depending on the fuel, you will need an engineer to service it. This was my biggest issue when we inherited a gas one in a derelict house we bought.

There is an aga thread which might help too. I'll link if I can find it.

Thanks for the reply, I’ll have a look at the Aga thread. Electric is what we’re after and we’re in Greater London area but looking around the south east as suppliers are quite spaced apart looking at the Aga website for registered suppliers.

To add OP, I had to ring 8 companies to find 1 that did gas and covered my area! The aga website for suppliers was useless! They didn't do gas, no longer did agas, didn't cover my area etc- despite the AGA listings saying they did!

This company is family run, lovely and can supply reconditioned models. Looking at their distribution map, they only routinely cover parts of East London, but might be worth calling them anyways. If nothing else, they might know a fitter that covers your area.
