Kitchen and utility renovation

Planning a kitchen and utility renovation, utility will be in a half garage conversion. Kitchen / dining will be open plan, fairly large space

For anyone who has done similar recently what do you wish you'd done differently? What are your favourite things about your new space?

Really think about what you want in the space and what the priorities are if you can’t fit everything in. Also think about heating and lighting. And about the impact on existing rooms if you’re extending (it can affect light levels) - but you say renovation rather than extension.

Hi thanks. Yes we aren't extending as the space will be pretty big once opened up - slightly L shaped, 7.2m long, 4.6m at narrowest, 6.6m at widest. That's for the kitchen / dining. The utility will be separate
