Hi,

I have been issued a section 21 and have found a property to rent the lady is in the process of buying her brother in law out and the last bit of paperwork was signed and done last week so it's solely in her name. How long does this process take? As if paperwork is done would it be a straight turn around as she cannot issue a tenancy until it's in her name for me to rent it just worried on timelines

In theory the current owner (BIL) could issue the tenancy and then assign it to her when the ownership passes. It may be worth mentioning this to her of time is of the essence.

@Spirallingdownwards hi, basically the house was her mother in law which was left to her husband brother in law and two children so they have brought the BIL out... so not sure how long this will take
