Hello,

Is anyone able to help advice of Skegby in Sutton in Ashfield, I'm looking at the new development- St Andrews Heights.

I've been looking around Mansfield but not luck yet. I haven't looked in Sutton in Ashfield, then noticed this development....

Does anyone know the area? I understand Sutton in Ashfield doesn't have a good reputation, but nor does Mansfield, and aware they both have there problems...is sutton in ashfield any worse than Mansfield or about the same?

Is Skegby 'reasonably' safe or just a no go. I've been looking at Mansfield Woodhouse & Forest town in comparison.

If anyone has any insight into the area it would be help and very much appreciated.

Schools are not an issue.

Thanks

There's a useful Reddit thread here:
What is Skegby like? : r/nottingham
Looks to be OK depending which bit of it. I've in or near Nottinghamshire for about 35 years - IMHO Sutton-in-Ashfield is worse than Mansfield, and Mansfield isn't great - but it's a cheap area, and there are plenty of facilities / shops nearby. Plus Sutton now has a new observatory and planetarium!
