Accent wall in awkward room

My living/ dining room is a big rectangular space and the first wall you see when you walk in the room is a long wall which I don’t think would look right as an accent wall. The sofa is on the wall opposite which is broken up by the door and a bit of wall so could I paint this section of wall instead? I want to add a bit of warmth to the room with colour but I know all the advice is it should be the first wall you see when you walk in! And opinions appreciated!

The smaller wall and part of the bigger wall? Seen lots of this online and it looks great.

Just do the whole room. Accent walls are naff.

Apologies for the awful sketch but gives an idea 😂. To the left is a bay window and the section on the bottom is the area where the sofa and door is and that’s what I was thinking of painting, and maybe the bay too?

I'd paint the whole room. Accent walls can make awkward shaped rooms seem even more akward.
