The first one....

Someone posted a few weeks ago about spending £100k on wardrobes. Wonder if it's that poster's house? Grin

TibetanTea · 22/01/2025 18:52

The 2nd one (Grand Designs glass box in nature one)

I'm not sure about bedrooms with walls entirely of glass. Even if it's looking out on your very private garden.

I'd feel quite exposed.

Yes it’s mine! (Not really). It’s utterly amazing x

Oldandcobwebby · 22/01/2025 19:23

I'll take the second one, and keep the £14 million invested, thanks. It will help offset the cost of Windolene.

(Edited for spelling)

SpikeSalmon · 22/01/2025 19:38

Where can I see the floorplans? I can't even figure out how many bedrooms there are.

sonnunny · 22/01/2025 19:44

The second one reminds me of the house in ferris bueller

shellyleppard · 22/01/2025 19:47

I like the second one more but I'd have trouble getting in and out of the bath 🤣🤣

LoudSnoringDog · 22/01/2025 19:49

I think I've seen the second one in a British drama.

Nellieinthebarn · 22/01/2025 19:58

I would love the second one in theory, but I know I'm not up to keeping it as tidy as it deserves.

Parky04 · 22/01/2025 20:16

I'm going to buy the first one. It's only £75k per month on the mortgage over 30 years!

Echobelly · 22/01/2025 20:25

Nice with London one to see a house in that bracket that isn't furnished like a soulless hotel and looks like someone might live it in and have chosen their furniture, art and decoration. Super pricey houses tend to look so cold and impersonal - like someone just threw a bunch of money at a very unimaginative interior designer to fill it full of shiny things and generic 'art'

That Welsh place is stunning.

This is my sort of London dream home and area: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/157227614#/?channel=RES_BUY

Check out this 5 bedroom house for sale on Rightmove

5 bedroom house for sale in Northampton Park, London, N1 for £6,000,000. Marketed by Hamptons, Islington

Now that one is lovely and just my taste. Love the modern art on the walls.

Ireolu · 22/01/2025 22:27

The first one (16M) is leasehold with 117yrs left and with ground rent of £2k a year. No thanks. The second is stunning

TeenLifeMum · 22/01/2025 22:31

I realise they take furniture but the sofa in the London home makes my back hurt just looking at it. I think, if I had a spare £15m I’d work out how I could have a city place and a country retreat.

NefiBlw · 22/01/2025 22:34

If I owned the 2nd one, I'd change the ridiculous name. They've called it Flying House not Hovering House.

ByQuaintAzureWasp · 22/01/2025 22:41

Love some of the art work (as well as the whole house obs). Wonder where they get such huge, fabulous pictures from.

That's a stunning home in Canonbury, and what a garden!

But I offer you this little place around the corner in Barnsbury, for a mere £1m more. If you moved in you'd have to change career and become a Bond villain.

Just 'wow'. I'd never move to London though.

That Canonbury house is lovely. That's optimistic pricing, even so. Surprised it's on with Hamptons.

NotGalinda · 22/01/2025 22:50

You always get more for your money up north. Anyone want to go in on a castle, pub, hotel, car park and a lot of land

I immediately thought of Grand Designs as well!

Fifteen MILLION pounds??!

The Welsh one is lovely - was it in Sex Education?
