Visited dream house again today. Manifesting hard!

Orchestrated a family walk to the village today so I could moon over the house from the outside. It's empty and the last house on a private track so don't think anyone will have noticed/cared. While I was there, saw a robin in the garden that then FOLLOWED us on the 5 minute walk back to our car. I don't care what anyone says, I'm taking it as a sign!

We've got non-proceedable 'buyers' for our house that had their second viewing yesterday. They admitted outright that they've fallen head over heels for it and they will do whatever they can to get it (asking price offer, please!). Theirs has only been on the market a week but they've had several viewings which I take as a good sign, especially in this deathly slow market (ours has been listed since September and we've only had 4 sets of viewers). We've got another viewing next weekend too.

I can't get this house out of my head. I have Pinterest boards for the decor. I spend ages gazing at the Rightmove listing, and, like today, I keep going for dog walks in the village so I can wander past and gaze at it.

It's a listed building. Same age as our current house but ours isn't listed. I've been spending ages researching the foibles of listed buildings to try and educate myself.

If the house is as lovely as the robin "in the forbidden forest" I can certainly understand. ;)

OMG OP this is so weird- I did EXACTLY this today, orchestrated the walk to my dream house at the end of the lane, and a robin followed us back!!
I am really hoping it isn't the same house and the same bird two-timing us! 😂

It does look a bit prickly doesn't it! WHEN (not if) it's our house, I'm looking forward to seeing everything come into full bloom. There are already swathes of snowdrop shoots poking up at the edge of the garden.

This was us last year. Once a week we passed the house to get eldest to an activity and couldn't stop staring (it was empty too fortunately)

I kept trying to put myself off it (it's a project) but the Pinterest boards kept creeping in. I just knew how I wanted one of the living rooms to be! It felt a bit like fate, this was going to be the house. Although I was then getting myself in knots as the disappointment of potentially losing it would have been rough!

We had buyers that were keen for ours but their buyers were flaky and it felt like it was going to fall apart at any minute.

We did get the keys eventually and it was amazing. It felt so good waking up the next morning and enjoying coffee with our new views.

I hope it happens for you all. What's meant for you wont pass you by and all that!

Ah, that's so good to hear! I'm really glad it all worked out for you.

I too am terrified of investing too much emotion in it in case it doesn't happen, but I also think - surely this bit is half the fun?!

Agree! @BunnyWilliams it's lovely planning and to be honest I'm glad I did plan. It's made the redecorating easier because we knew what we wanted and got a couple rooms done quite quickly.

I also think you kind of need to plan, if your furniture doesn't work then maybe worth selling that before you move so you can buy something that does work well. Definitely look carefully at the floor plans.

Wishing you tons of luck OP, have my fingers crossed for you. Reeeaally hope you get it! And agree it's half the fun!

You sound like me in September for what it's worth! And we were in in the last week of November!

Wales! Phew! We can both have our dreams come true without upsetting the other!

Funny that a robin followed you too! I hope it was a happy universe day for both of us.

Why do we put ourselves through it?! 🤣 And this is the least stressful part of the process!
