Moving from St Helens to Lymm or Hartford

Hello,
We are considering relocating to either Hartford or Lymm and would appreciate any recommendations or opinions to help us decide. We are a family of four, with an 8-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl. Both my husband and I work; however, I currently work from home due to the lack of after-school clubs at our children's current school. This is likely to change after the move. My husband works between Liverpool and Manchester, so we are trying to determine which area would be a better fit for our family as we plan to relocate from St Helens.
Thank you in advance for your input!

There fairly different places, St Helens is certainly different to well heeled Lymm and Hartford.

What is most important to you about where you live?

There’s very little positive about St Helens – the people can be rude, and both primary and secondary schools are poor. This is why we’re looking to move. It’s essential that the area we choose has good primary and secondary schools, as well as access to activities like a junior football club, swimming club, and karate, which our children currently participate in here in St Helens.

It depends on your budget as Lymm is expensive.
Ravensbank Primary is great, think it is a two form entry.
Equally I would look at Grappenhall as that is close to Lymm, also Thelwall itself.

I’ve contacted the schools in Lymm, and it seems there are no spaces available in any of the primary schools. I’m fairly certain the situation will be similar for secondary schools. How is the traffic in terms of commuting to Liverpool and Manchester? I’ve heard it’s quite bad.

You would have to hit the motorway by 7am to have any chance....
Take a look at Broomfields primary in AppletonWarrington, great school and 4 form entry.
