Affordable new front door

Has anyone managed to source a new front door at a reasonable price? I'm looking at around 2k as it currently has a side panel too so I would either have to buy a new side panel and door or have in centralised (if that's the word) and a small side panel on either side.

I keep thinking that there must be a better and more affordable way. I have seen new doors at B&Q etc but have no idea how I go about having it fitted and who to contact.

All door people want to sell me a package deal with door and installation.

Any tips on how you did it within a smaller budget? Thank you!

We got a door from B&Q and then got a joiner from trustatrader to come and fit it for us. You can put the search term as 'door fitters' and all the available tradespeople will come up

If you're looking for wood rather than plastic, I would recommend these guys.
We chose a solid oak door, which they reconditioned for us and I love it so much.
We fitted it and painted it ourselves, but they will do that for you too.

I did the same as pp, bought a solid wooden door with glass panel from B&Q and found a local joiner to fit it. We also needed a new frame as that had gone rotten but it all came in under £2K with new brass fittings, 2x locks and a chain.
