Has anybody in Southwark London done a basement excavation (not conversion - digging out completely anew). There's a house we are keen to buy but only if we can dog out the basement (for the extra space for teens) - I've seen similar houses on the road that already have lower ground floors because of the camber of the road - this one doesn't so we'd want to dig it out afresh, but just wondering how easy it will be to get planning permission in our borough. Not a conservation area. Semi-detached double fronted house.
