Engineered wood supplier recommedations?

Just that really - I'm in the process of buying a house. If it all goes well, I'm looking to replace the carpet downstairs with engineered wood - about 35-45m2 (of course subject to whatever is underneath the carpet!)...

So was just wondering if anyone has any supplier recommendations.

I hope to fit it ourselves - but again this will be subject to whatever is underneath and the conditions...

We recently renovated and after reviewing multiple brands, went with Woodpecker. Check the price difference between engineered and solid wood though. We were very surprised that the solid one we chose, was cheaper than some of their engineered ones! It means they can be sanded down for many years to come if needed. Ours has a 100yr warranty too. Its only been in 18mths but still looks like new.

In a previous property, we bought engineered wood from Wickes. It was the thickest (and most expensive!) they had at the time but has lasted. It has some small chips on the edges of some of the panels, but has been down 9yrs and been rented out 7yrs and still looks ok.

MIL bought much thinner panels and they only lasted 2yrs before falling apart, chipping badly and scratching.

Thanks @JC03745 !! That’s helpful as I prematurely discounted solid wood thinking the price would be much higher. So definitely will look into both now!
