We are about to replace our stairs and landing carpet. I love the stair runners which have the contrasting border however I know that it will just gather dust and dogs hair.
I have seen a few photos online where they have added the contrasting border to carpet that covers the whole width of the stairs.
Has anybody done this? Do you have any photos? I am intrigued as to how they do it. I presume they come and measure the stairs then cut the carpet add the border and then bring it back just to fit? Did it cost substantially more than the carpet without the border? Did you have the border just up the stairs or also on the landing area, I have seen photos of both? Are you happy with it?
Any experiences of this would be much appreciated?
