Wiltshire/Hampshire villages near Salisbury

Can anyone personally recommend attractive villages within a 20 minute drive of Salisbury that have at least a pub and a bit of life, and ideally a bus route to take teens into the town for school? We are looking to buy but no idea where to start!

Durrington

Downton / Woodfalls / Redlynch

What’s your budget?

Winterslow, Wellow.

Budget would be around £500-600K for three bedrooms - sadly I think the beautiful villages like Broadchalke are out of budget.
Is Durrington an attractive village @Lemonem ? I’ve never been but assumed it was an army town?

The Winterslows are lovely but they not sure how often the buses run.
Downton is increasing in size and has a fair bit going on now (for a village).
Durrington is more modern, not classic "village" but has takeaways, shops, supermarket and is right on the A303.
There's a lovely village called Stratford Sub Castle, doesn't have a pub but there's a walking path straight into town (about 2 miles).
I'm from Salisbury so feel free to ask questions!

This is the local bus service so will give you an idea of times/frequency etc

Durrington isn't a chocolate box village but there's stuff going on, and has a few pubs, village church etc. I live in Netheravon which is a bit further out, so takes longer to Salisbury
