Studio floor plan - help needed pls!

Hi all,

Looking for some advice about my studio please - moved in a few months ago and feel like it I haven’t set everything up in the best way.

Excuse the terrible floor plan but any ideas on where I could move my furniture (or suggestions for adding furniture?). Not pictured is a hallway with three built in wardrobes so don’t need to worry about blocking any doors etc. I’m also open to removing the desk as in the office 4 days a week (and likely increasing to 5).

It’s 800 sq ft if that helps! Sockets on all walls :)

TIA!

If I were you I’d head over to Pinterest and search for Apartment Therapy. They have some great ideas for small spaces. To the point where I quite often wish I lived in a studio apartment.

800 sq ft is really big. Is there no way you could put up some dividing walls?

It feels a lot smaller! I’m thinking the 800 must include the kitchen/bathroom/wardobes. Unfortunately my landlord won’t allow me to add dividing walls. I did consider some of the ikea Kallax pieces to separate the space though - thank you!

Definitely some good ideas on there - I just struggle to apply them to my space (I’m terrible at this)! Thank you :)

I’d go for some units to break up your sleeping area and living space.

pinterest is a good place to start for ideas.

Are younsure it's 800 sq feet? Most 2 bed bungalows are 700 ish!

My son is buying an open plan downstairs house. He will put in dividing doors as he's buying but he's looked at large kallax too - which he liked as a second option. Yes, not perfect, but with the addition of the boxes it can be a good barrier and a lot of storage too.

My Grandparents had a flat roof extension to their lounge and they put a rail and curtains across the extra part. They did it to keep the lounge warm in winter. I used to hide in there as a child playing with toys away from people and it worked as a good separator. Although it's likely to require rail attachments.

Measure the actual space of the room you are wanting help with as the 800sqft will include your hall, kitchen and bathroom too and show where windows are on the plan. I think that will help with the ideas.

Yes, you need to show where the windows are.

Something like this? I’ve added a round dining table and a screen of some description around the bed.
Ive also assumed your door is in between the kitchen and bathroom and you walk in facing the window.
