counters are rose (like dulux heritage blossom)

Ideally on the more budget end but don’t want it to look awful as the cabinets and floor aren’t the cheapest! I love the look of wood but doubt I’d maintain it well enough ….

How much work was the walnut? I think it would look better but reading about oiling etc made me a bit wary!

(my little ones are 3 and due in march so I’m also aware lovely cooked dinners are likely to be a ways off and more likely to be chaotic cake batter on everything !)

The walnut was in a dry area - so not much work. We oiled it a few times every now and then. The first few times very well - but slapdash after was fine.

Wet areas would need more tlc. Hence the white quartz also.

Having said that, the quartz didn't wear as well as expected. Maybe a look alike would have been fine too. (And much less expensive)
