Bungalow and no space for a dishwasher

Can someone explain something to me?

Ive been looking for a bungalow. I’m disabled, can’t do stairs so a bungalow sounds like the obvious answer.

I found many of them that have been adapted (think adapted shower or a ramp to go into the house).
However, none if them have space for a dishwasher. And it’s often a struggle to find some space even for a washing machine.!

I need a dishwasher 😭😭. For the same reason I can’t do stairs, I’d struggle A LOT without a dishwasher.

Are you looking at ones all in the same area built to the same plan? I know 3 people with bungalows including my parents and they all have dishwashers in the kitchen and fit a washing machine and dryer in the kitchen or utility.

We had a worktop dishwasher in our first house.Are they still an option.

Sometimes you have to lose a cupboard for a dishwasher. Id consider it a very fair trade. You could put a pantry cupboard elsewhere to make up for the list storage.

It seems a lot of them have very small kitchens. So no space and not easy to loose any cupboards then because I can’t really use cupboards on the wall (bar for things I very very occasionally use).

I mean yes you’re all right as to how one can make it work.
Still, to me, doesn’t explain why the dishwasher isn’t there as standard

Maybe it depends on when they’ve been built with newer build having more chance to have some?

@TheFlis no, all very different in different part of town etc… Its just not…. included.
I mean it’s not included even in those houses/flats in retirement villages either.

I’ve just been looking at one where we are. Two beds, kitchen/ living room and there’s a dishwasher in the kitchen area.
