west Ewell is a typical bit of outer fringe of south west London (/Surrey) suburbia in that it is staid, quiet, and rather boring.
West Ewell has the advantage of a) it is not an Epsom estate and b) it's close enough to Horton to be able to access countryside by a short walk, yet the rail station is still accessible (although a slow, multi stop journey to Waterloo) for commuters and those interested in a life outside of the local pub or WI
