Suppose to be completing on Monday, funds requested today.
Do you think it'll happen?

I think you can request a different type of funds release process that is faster for a fee. I'd ask the bank. 5 days is standard clearing.

If you’ve exchanged contacts stating that completion will be on Monday then completion will almost definitely be on Monday.

We're completing today. Funds were requested on Monday and our solicitor received them yesterday. We only exchanged contracts yesterday once she had confirmation she was receiving them.

Until you Exchange there can be no certainly about when you will Complete.

Nevertheless I would just follow your solicitors advice re releasing the funds today.

Yes especially as there's a weekend. I had a completion delayed by three days (I still moved out as was going into an Airbnb anyway) as funds had not arrived in time bottom of the chain. We had all exchanged the previous week.
