Seems each internet provider uses a different colour wire outside

Was about to have Virgin broadband installed but learned that their wiring is green and yellow and would run in a very obvious position at the front of my very pretty house. I had no idea of this.

Do other providers offer a more discreet colour?

Could you add some heat shrink over the top prior to installation ?

Or would you be allowed to paint it ?

I'm confused. We have Virgin Media and there is a small box attached to the front of the house and then a black cable from the box that goes from the front of the house along the side wall and then enters the house near the living room window.

It's all black outside and then attaches to a white cable indoors. There is no green and yellow at all (unless it's hidden in that box at the front)
