Halifax 1.5 year mortgage

What’s the reason? Surely by the time you move in and get settled your mortgage will nearly be up

I thought the same thing, I guess you can apply to change after a year so if rates suddenly drop it could work out well....but then I don't think that's planned to happen any time soon!
