I'm moving soon and trying to work out upstairs rooms. I would do it once moved in but I'm pregnant and not able to move big furniture around after the removals people put it in the rooms.

Bedroom 1: large room with bay window, looks out to front of house. (currently the master room)
Bedroom 2: large room, same as room 1, looks out to back of house. Build in wardrobes taking up one and a quarter walls (currently children's room shared by 2 children)
Bedroom 3: box room (currently an office, was previously used as a nursery with a children's wardrobe, cot and changing table- so still a nice size)

I'm trying to figure out what room should be mine and my husband's, what room should be our nursery and what room should be our spare room.

We were originally thinking room 1 for us (using the built in wardrobe in room 2), room 2 for nursery and room 3 for spare room. But just not sure.

Whichever bedroom has enough space for your bed and a cot. Babies don’t stay in Moses baskets for more than a few weeks in my experience and so if you can fit the cot in your bedroom too it makes it much easier as it’s recommend you share the bedroom with them until 6 months.

Hey, thank you. They will be in our room in a next to me crib for the first 6 months but we'll be setting up their nursery in a different from with cot etc. for when they're ready for it.

If you like to use the build in wardrobe in bedroom 2, then just make that the master bedroom. Use bedroom 1 for DC and the smallest as spare room.

Just because someone said this room is X and that is Y , does not mean you have to do the same.

That's true- it's hard to imagine it done differently with it being in the current set up!
