Waiting for exchange and confirmation of funds....

Meant to be exchanging today. Solicitor has half the funds from our buyers, they're still waiting on the other half .. apparently it's taking it's time because it's coming from a stocks and shares Isa. Been pushed into completing on Monday (I know!) otherwise have said it will be January cos our lovely sellers are going on holiday next week (apparently!)

Couldn't fucking make it up! Anyone want to sit with me through this?

Ugh - sorry you are going through this OP. It's beyond stressful.

We exchanged and completed on the same day last year (whilst travelling from abroad!). It eventually happened at 4 minutes to 5 leaving us no time to get to the agent for the keys. Most stressful day of my life.

Fingers crossed that everything goes ahead today and that you have the keys to your lovely new home on Monday.

It sounds very stressful, I hope it goes well. Do you want to complete on Monday or would you prefer January?

Thanks both. Would much prefer Jan....tbh,I don't think I'd care if it all fell through. It's been a nightmare for months.

Sorry should say the reason I didn't insist on Jan was cos I also didn't want this shit show to go on any longer than it needs to aka another 2 months

Who knows at this point! The solicitors just seem to be talking out of their arse at this point so not sure I'll be able to believe what they say! Ours has gone home now anyway.

I think after a certain time they may as well go home as it’s too late for the banks to transfer the money anyway.

Still, shame they didn’t hang around to give you some advice about what to expect now.

The moneys arrived...now just need to exchange.

Sorry,yes we're currently Sat in our new house having completed at 2.59 on Monday and finished unloading at 19.30!
