Just the glass.

Depends on the size? Style? Thickness? Glazing?

Flubadubba · 19/11/2024 14:59

If it is double glazed and the frame wishes otherwise OK, ask around to see who replaces blown windows. Doing this is much cheaper than getting a whole new one.

Mine cost £90 and included some grid design, about 3 years ago

@littlemisssunshine247 was it just the glass? Can I see a pic please. If not that's fine.

We had bigger than that glass replaced and it cost around £100 each for average

Doris86 · 26/11/2024 19:16

£100 ish as a ballpark figure.

It’s a pretty easy DIY job as well if you want to save a few pounds.

I got quoted 120 plus vat. So around £144. Where do I look to get a cheaper quote?

Cheapest is not always best.
More important is competence.
That sounds a reasonable estimate.

Flubadubba · 27/11/2024 19:18

Sounds reasonable to me. The price of the raw materials has risen, as had the price of the gases inside lately.

TwistedSisters · 27/11/2024 21:13

£144 is about right.
I had similar recently and got 3 quotes, cheapest was £120, most expensive was £200.
Edited to add you could just get quotes from a couple local window fitters.
