Garage conversion - help please!

I’m getting a garage conversion and as part of it we are having the wall knocked through to the kitchen to make an open plan kitchen/sitting area.

We need to remove the washing machine which I have marked green on the drawings of the existing setup (note: the sink and hob are the wrong way round in this pic).

The joiner has given two options.

1: put the washing machine beneath the boiler and build a cupboard to house them. I don’t like this option as the cupboard would jut out too far in to the room for my liking and impede the view in to the room.

2: put the washing machine behind the sink and get a large bespoke worktop on top. He would then make a very small boiler housing so it doesn’t jut too far in to the room. (My preferred option) I’ve circled this red in the picture of the proposed drawings

The trouble with option 2 is that I can’t find anywhere that will make a bespoke laminate worktop big enough. It needs to be a depth of 1.3m. Does anyone know of a company who can make a bespoke laminate worktop of this size? We have had a quote for a quartz worktop which would be big enough but it was way over budget. There is nothing wrong with the existing worktops so it would be a shame to spend a fortune on something we don’t really need.

Im wondering if there would be an option to move the washing machine elsewhere? I’m wondering if we could move it beside the back door where the current door opening is (which is being moved)? Or could it go in the downstairs WC? There’s plenty space.

Or would there be an option that anyone could think of to keep the existing worktop, put the washing machine behind the sink, but have a different housing for it?

Thanks so much
