Must smell in walk-in wardrobe

Firstly walk in wardrobe makes it sound grander than it is. It's a small room with a radiator and the back wall of it is an outside wall. I keep the door open most of the time, no other ventilation.

1 what do I do about musty smell?
2 do o need to insulate back wall or put in a fan or something?

Even after drying it right out and leaving the door open etc. our airing cupboard smelt awful after a plumbing leak. I bought a Neutradol gel air freshener, and left it on the floor of the cupboard. After a few days the pong had gone.

A small table fan and a couple of those damp absorber tubs with the beads?

What floor covering do you have, could the smell be coming form musty floorboards?

have you checked the roof for leaks if it’s above? Otherwise dry it out, baking soda on a tray absorbs odours, add room scent, air it often. It can be done

There aren't any leaks, though I've cleared it out so I'll check again tonight.

I'll try the damp absorber thingies. I think everything just needs a good air possibly. But there was one jacket with mould on it. And there are probably others once I've had a good look through.
