How much to budget for extension?

Can anyone advise on how much extensions are currently costing per sq m atm? In Sussex if that is useful info.

I have no idea I'm afraid. We've just renovated what had been a derelict property, and so far, have spent double what some quotes suggested. Not through choosing extravagant wood/bricks etc, but due to the cost of supplies going up. This was started at the very end of covid, so maybe prices have stopping rising for a while now?

I'd get as many quotes as you can to compare. Note though- that some won't even provide a quote or will provide a quote but have no availability to do the job until 2026!

Ours has just been finished, worked out to about 3k per square meter with no finishing on the inside at all. We had to find our own plasterer, plumber & electrician. SE btw

Ours is 18 sq meters and was £95k for build. That included goalpost steels and underfloor heating. It was £6k for all fees ( including party wall)
Then add floor kitchen and patio.
