Hi,
Has anyone had any recent experience in getting the title register updated and how long it takes?
Basically, our buyer wants the property register updated before exchange of contracts which my solicitor has advised while not necessary is not outside the realm of normal. However, this is hoping up the whole chain. Literally the only thing we're waiting on...
I've googled and it says anything from a day (clearly not as we've been waiting 2 weeks already) to 5 months! I don't know if there's anything I can do.
I did look at expedited but that only covers you if there's no outstanding application, which there is.

I went onto the land registry website, registered and then went onto the land registry forum to ask a similar question. I got an answer back within an hour from somebody who works there, which was really helpful. Worth a try?

I contacted them myself and it was done the same day.

I would do that but I've found out today that my solicitor took my original document and sent it with their application so I don't think I can do this unfortunately. I really appreciate your comment though.
