DIY regret: tile paint

I have a strip of patterned tiles running horizontally across the walls in the bathroom which I have never liked. Off work for a couple of days so decided to paint them. I suspected that the paint I'd bought was too dark, but hoped it would dry lighter. It didn't. The edges also bled where I put down masking tape, and so looks hideous. I'm going to have to leave it for tonight and not try and faff about with it, but I suspect I may have to try and take the whole lot off tomorrow.

Just needed to vent. 😖

I did something similar once but lived with it for a few months. It comes off easily, if that helps!

if it doesn't come off with just soap/water try a magic sponge, worked when I painted mine. Or can you try those sticker tiles, if so may as well just put them over the painted version than bother removing it and then trying them?

I bought some sticker tiles online last night, so hopefully they will look better than the paint.
