Insulation

Hi,
We own a 1950’s bungalow. Any room with external walls are very cold in winter. We’re thinking of insulating the walls on the outside. Can anyone who has had this done, can you please give me some honest reviews? Did it make your home any warmer? Did you have issues with condensation. Or can anyone offer reviews on heat recovery systems? Like most we don’t have a bottomless budget so I need to spend what we have wisely!
Thank you for reading.

Yes, I did, mid terrace, old, solid walls. Worked brilliantly, saved loads, however it was part of a whole house development so easy to make sure there were no cold spots.

there were some external issues however, so if I could in future I'd do internal insulation.
