How long will conveyancing take just to sell a property? Is it possible to complete in 8 weeks or is that a myth?

I think that it CAN be done in that time, but if there are any issues that the buyer is concerned about, it will take longer unfortunately.

It can be done, however if you are the buyer and have alot of enquiries or your buyer has alot of enquiries can take longer.

I'm going through process and we're aiming for 6-8 weeks completion and we're on target but everyone in the small chain is motivated and pushing on!

They had the survey, pulled out, and then came back again, but with an 8 week deadline, which means we have to go into rented - which we could agree to - never had conveyancing take less than 4 months but that was to sell and buy 🤷‍♀️

It's definitely possible.

Depends what comes up along the way.

If everything is straightforward it's doable, if there is an issue with one part or another that timeline could easily slip.

Definitely possible if there is no chain and they have already had a survey. Did they also get the searches done before pulling out last time?

I just sold my house with no upward chain, and we were ready to exchange/complete about four or five weeks after I accepted the offer, but there was a chain below my buyers and the people at the bottom of the chain (or rather their useless solicitors) were messing everyone around for a while, which delayed it. We still exchanged about two months after agreeing the sale and completed a couple of weeks after that.

We're waiting as well, while living with my sister's house with her. We don't fit, our stuff is on storage, the kids hate it, she has 7 cats that I'm allergic to. The 14 year old has asked if we can ignore christmas if we're still here because it wont be any fun🙄

It's just a single purchase; we've sold already and the house we're buying is empty. The vendors' solicitor has the deeds, we have full mortgage approval.

Please, oh please, let it be possible!

Oh, I do hope so for your sanity!
