Looking for a matt white bath panel... does it even exist?

We need to replace our bath panel. Its currently tiled, same tiles as rest of bathroom. But they no longer stock, so will be looking to replace with either a birch panel (but very expensive) or a plain white matt finish (presumably MDF) panel.

But even matt ones are PVC foil wrapped

Won't this make it shiny (and a bit cheap) looking?

Any thoughts on a plain, stylish bath panel? Please send ideas!

If you used MDF in a bathroom and it was not foil wrapped then water would get in and the panel would fall apart very quickly. You could use wood and paint it. Then you can have whatever colour or finish you like.
