Who can help us design a minor remodel?

We bought our house 6 months ago, knowing that it was in great condition, just not to our taste, and with one big layout problem.

The problem is the combination of three rooms that lead into each other in an L-shape - kitchen, utility and dining room. I can think of four different ways of reconfiguring these spaces to give us what we need, but don’t know what the best option would be cost-wise. Or indeed if there is a better option we haven’t thought of.

I am not sure we need a full-on architect, but it feels like we need more than a kitchen designer.

Does anyone have any suggestions about the type of professional I should employ to help us with the layout design and costings?

You probably want an architect but you could stick it on here and see what ideas people come up with?

Maybe an interior designer if there isn't any structural stuff?

If you're within the London area, I can recommend an architect I've used for a similar layout?

I used a planning consultant. Architectural technician but draws and submits plans to Planning department.

We used our builder. He did the design, plans, build. The whole lot. He’s never let us down yet

We used an architectural designer.
