Hi, I am in the Croydon area, and have decided to close down the pond. I have a lot of koi / carp fish. Collection only. Please only contact if you are a keen pond owner with an established pond.

Try the group Friends of the SiBC on Facebook. The SIBC was the self isolating bird club, and Chris Packham was involved for some time. Started during Covid, the group is its non COVID successor.

Larger, mature koi are valuable! Even the standard coloured/patterned ones because they take a long time to grow so the farms have to keep them for years before they can sell them. I would look up koi fish farms and independent suppliers. They might even give you something for them!

I struggled to re-home the koi from our rental property as people wouldn't take them due to risk of diseases. Some of them were huge so I thought we would get our arm bitten off for them! Eventually a family member's friend came to the rescue and put them in his established koi pond and all was fine.
